The University of Strasbourg is a university of excellence. No fewer than three Nobel Prize winners are active there! This sense of prestige contributes to its influence and makes Strasbourg an ideal place for national and international science conventions.

Why not hold your science convention in Strasbourg?

Strasbourg has a great deal of experience in hosting scientific conventions. This is not surprising given the high concentration of grey matter to be found there, in various areas of study and fields of excellence! The presence of major players in the field of scientific research has led to a good number of conventions being held in Strasbourg. For example, the conventions of the European Materials Research Society (E -MRS), or the French-speaking Diabetes Society (formerly “ALFEDIAM”) took place there.

Let’s not forget that the Palais des Congrès in Strasbourg is undergoing a phase of expansion and modernisation! In a few months, it will have new areas for meetings, exhibitions and catering. In addition, the European Centre for the Study of Diabetes (CEED) also has the capacity to host scientific meetings.

While the facilities are cutting-edge, there is also a plentiful supply of hotels. For example, visitors have been able to book a room at the 4-star hotel Les Haras, in a historic building renovated as part of an initiative by the IRCAD!
