The project also included renovations of the original buildings and the development of an outdoor event space.<\/p>\n<p><b>30 new events<br \/>\n<\/b>This expansion aims to improve the infrastructure for major events including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foiredemulhouse.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Foir&#8217;EXPO<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.journees-octobre.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Journ\u00e9es d\u2019Octobre<\/a>, while facilitating the growth of other key trade fairs such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivitas.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Festivitas<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campus-industrie.eu\/salon-industries-du-futur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BE 5.0, focused on the industries of the future.<\/a><br \/>\nThe increased capacity allows for 30 new events each year with 120,000 additional visitors, generating 4,000 extra overnight stays and contributing \u20ac8 million to the local economy.<\/p>\n<p><b>Shifting from dark to bright, the new metal exterior captures and reflects the ever-changing light and colours throughout the day<br \/>\n<\/b>Visible from the motorway, the industrial-inspired metal fa\u00e7ade of the new hall pays tribute to Mulhouse\u2019s heritage.<br \/>\nThe modular and versatile exhibition space is equipped with natural lighting and the latest technology.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;The simplicity and minimalism of the design are reflected in the efficient use of materials demonstrated in a unified metal cladding covering the entire upper part of the project. The scale of the resulting texture evokes a pleated fabric, paying homage to Mulhouse&#8217;s history and industrial past,&#8221;<\/i> explains <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ren%C3%A9-pierre-ortiz-2b2611b9\/?originalSubdomain=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ren\u00e9-Pierre Ortiz<\/a>, founder of AEA Architectes.<\/p>\n<p>With a budget of \u20ac10.85 million, the development is funded by various public and private entities, including m2A, the Grand Est Region, the City of Mulhouse, and the European Union.<br \/>\nThis large-scale project represents an opportunity to strengthen the region&#8217;s attractiveness while boosting economic growth and tourism.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\"
