This year, Meet in Alsace will be present at two events in Switzerland. Two opportunities for the collective to strengthen its position in the Swiss market, a country with much in common with Alsace and strong potential for business tourism.

In addition to its geographic and cultural proximity, Alsace boasts a strategic location in the heart of Europe and is easily accessed by road and rail. Along with its rich heritage, Alsace has no shortage of assets to attract Swiss companies looking for venues to host their professional events.

From Basel, Bern, Zurich, or Geneva, it’s just a few hours (or less) to Strasbourg, Colmar, or Mulhouse, without needing to take a plane.  With its ease of access, Alsace is a local destination of choice, especially for seminars, meetings, or incentive trips aligned with CSR commitments.

Events to promote the MICE offerings of Meet in Alsace

To reinforce its position in the Swiss market, Meet in Alsace regularly participates in key industry events. On 10 September, the collective will attend Assistants’ Day for the third consecutive year. This trade fair in Zurich brings together executive assistants and decision-makers responsible for organising seminars, meetings, and incentive trips. A strategic opportunity for Meet in Alsace to showcase the region’s MICE offerings (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions).

The collective will also participate in a MICE-themed lunch on 29 October in Geneva. Alongside the Grand Est Regional Tourism Agency and Partance, an expert MICE agency, Meet in Alsace will present the destination to a selected group of prospects.

Incentive trips celebrating the art of living

Alsace’s identity and way of life resonate strongly with the Swiss. Authentic and refined, the region offers an ideal setting for incentives and seminars. In Strasbourg, Mulhouse, or Colmar, there are no shortage of highlights for event organisers: the Alsace Wine Route stretching for 170 km from north to south, villages ranked among the most beautiful in France, museums, castles, and more.

Exceptional hotels

Incentive trips are the perfect opportunity to offer premium experiences. Several new hotels have recently opened, including five-star establishments like Maison Rouge Strasbourg Hotel & Spa and L’Esquisse Hôtel & Spa in Colmar.

Alsace is also home to several award-winning spas recognised for the excellence of their facilities and services, such as Yonaguni at the Parc Hôtel in Obernai and the spa at La Chenaudière.

Michelin-starred dining

In Alsace, the premium experience extends to our restaurants. As a land of gastronomy, the region is home to 35 Michelin-starred restaurants including six two-star establishments, making it the most decorated region in Grand Est.

With its accessibility, art of living, and high-quality offerings, Alsace continues to establish itself as a premier destination for Swiss companies looking for a destination to host their business events.
